This report came out Thursday - TNT had not come to financial conditions with Larry Hagman to join the distribution of its Dallas reboot and perform a revised script presented without their Patriarch l? Don't take that the Bank immediately, darlins'.
I have just his telephone conversation with Larry said all of this is news for him. I read the report, who left the legend TV and 79 years old stunned almost speechless. "I had not heard speak, Hein!", said Larry. "It's really interesting." We talked about the money, but I didn't know he was going to come crashing stop like that. You got a scoop for what it's worth: Larry Hagman does not know what was going on! »
What it sounds like me is a scare tactic - step, contrary to what the Lorimar fired back to the summer 1980 after the infamous of J.R. Ewing when threatened to replace Larry with actor Robert Culp production company there no return European shooting, where the wise businessman had escaped while his team has negotiated a new contract.
"I had a good team," said Larry, who this week sprouts the first two episodes of Desperate Housewives as the rich fiancee Lynette mother (Polly Bergen). The actor is currently represented by Joel Dean and Harry Gold, two veteran skilled, accustomed to the landing of good business for their clients. And my hope is that they will be able to get Larry his just desserts.
In November, creators Larry Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing) and Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing), I was told that they were on board for the new driver of Dallas, which was scheduled to begin filming at the beginning of February, in Texas, Louisiana or New Mexico.
Larry told me that he/she has read the driver written by Cynthia Cidre, the creator of short-lived CBS cane SOAP and found to be "good enough." The unique and still his usual autonomy. I thought that I wanted to do, but I didn't know that he came to this. We are so close (part), I did not know that there was a problem. I thought more or less we made, unless it's a scare tactic. But I must scare at my age.
Larry argues that it would be far from being so devastated, series attempted to launch without him, he acknowledged that it would be deeply disappointed not meet with his old creators. "I would miss playing with Patrick and Linda, it is certain that we are all friends," he said.
Personally, I hope DTT pay whatever he wants, as Dallas star without ' ole J.R. not just Dallas. And on a personal note, on 18 December marks Larry and 56th anniversary wedding wife major, which unfortunately will be celebrated in the installation of Santa Monica, where his wife only-affected lived for nine months. I hope that the TNT will put an end to this madness and Larry price the gift of birthday he so richly deserves.
